Cody's Frist Birthday!

Cody turned ONE this month! How time flies. He is so cute, so awesome, so funny and fun to watch. His mind goes 100 miles a minute. He can’t stop moving and is a very friendly kid. He is AWESOME! Most of the time he is smiling. If he is just chilling his eyebrows are in so it looks like he is growling, but that is just his chill face. Very cute though. He loves to be outside, he loves to be with his brother and sisters, wrestle with daddy, give hugs and open mouthed kisses. He loves balls and trucks. He loves to make the vroom sound and drive his cars up and down, all over everything. Devin usually won’t let him play with more than one truck at a time (he has sharing issues that if he doesn’t fix now, Cody will beat him up in just a matter of a few months. He’s getting tough) even though Devin has at least 4 big trucks pulling trailers with four wheelers or boats and then all of the little motorcycles in the bed of the truck.

He does like throwing balls and kicking balls so much we had to make him a cake with a lot of balls on it. We made a cake with a football scene, a basketball scene, a soccer scene, and a baseball scene. It was huge and very cute. The cake that he got to eat was the typical carob cake and he was not a fan. He was so delicate with the cake, but we know it is only because it had strawberries, blueberries, and grapes on the top. He picked those up one at a time and even when we tore a little piece of cake and basically forced him to take a bite of it he went back to the toppings. If there were no toppings he would have dug into it for sure. We know this because we went to Andee’s party and after she delicately ate her cake as well, Cody sat beside her and ate it to pieces - stuffed his face, and was covered in cake from head to toe.

Cody didn’t even really care about opening his presents either. Even when we started ripping it for him he didn’t really catch on. He wanted to play with the balls that were outside. Or give Andee hugs (which she didn't like at all) We couldn’t keep him still enough to open anything. Oh well. He did love the hand me down basketball hoop from Berik. We made it perfect for his size and he got mad when we said enough and took him inside. After he eats breakfast the first thing he does is go to the back door and asks to go outside because he can see that hoop right there. What a character! It was a great party!

Cody finally thinking about getting into the cake

He did sit for a minute to unwrap gifts.

Just get me the ball out of that box!
