Happy Birthday Haylee,5, and Devin,4!

Cutting his cake with his new Cowboy hat on!

We had a family dinner/party for Haylee and Devin in between both of their birthdays. We served Malibu chicken (Haylee's choice), baked potatoes (Devin's choice) for dinner and Great Grandpa Lewis made his perfected homemade ice cream. All day Devin thought it was his birthday and from then on to everyone he was 4 years old. He didn't understand that his was yet to come. In fact, on his real birhtday he woke up and we hugged him and told him Happy Birthday and he didn't believe us. He said he already had his birthday. He was so excited when grandma Christensen took him for ice cream after preschool and grandma Lewis took him to Vickers to fit him into new cowboy boots (he's been wearing some that are too small but he loved them and wouldn't take them off). He kept asking why he was so special to have two birthdays. We actually trusted them with a knife to cut their own cake and they did a great job making the first few cuts. Haylee wanted the big sun for her piece and then when we gave it to her she said, "Maybe this is too big for me."
