We have planted a garden for 5 years now. All five years we have reaped the rewards of our harvest. Some years certain vegetables didn't do so great, but there was always something to show for our hard work. This year was a complete disaster. We planted peas early this year, we planted everything else on time, we covered it and kept it from the frost. We even planted corn for the first time and were so excited to eat it. Mid-July we started getting crikets and they were destroying our garden. We used these pellets that were supposed to kill them, but there were so many of them it didn't work. The only things we were able to enjoy were the peas, a couple of cucumbers survived, and the cherry tomatoes did okay. How sad!
